Bald Mountain, part of the Maine Birding Trail, has two paths to the summit where hikers often see spruce grouse, gray jay, boreal chickadees, and blackpoll warblers. From the summit, hikers can see Rangeley Lake, Cupsuptic Lake, Mooselookmeguntic Lake, Saddleback Mountain, Elephant Mountain, and Mount Washington.
