Champoeg State Heritage Park

The first provisional government was formed on May 2, 1843, on the site that is now known as the Champoeg State Heritage Park. Visitors to the park can also tour the 1863 Butteville Store, the oldest continually operating business in Oregon, camp, picnic and fish.
