As the longest bridge in the world to cross over ice-covered water, Confederation Bridge is 12.9km (8 miles) long. Opened in 1997, the bridge connects Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick. On the New Brunswick side, there is a rest stop that has a scenic path for picture taking.
