Height of Land is a wide elongated area on the west shoulder of Maine 17 highway where the Appalachian Trail crosses the highway. Those who stop here can see Mooselookmeguntic Lake, Cupsuptic Lake, Upper Richardson Lake, Old Blue Mountain, Elephant Mountain and Bemis Mountain.
