At the 400,000-acre Kachemak Bay State Park, visitors often see sea otters, seals, porpoise, whales, moose, black bear, mountain goats, coyotes, wolves, eagles, gyrfalcons and puffins, make it a popular area for bird watching. The park is Alaska's first state park, and its only wilderness park.
