Obsidian Dome

One of several volcano domes in Mammoth Lake, California, the Obsidian Dome last erupted in 1350 AD. Visitors may reach it by car or ATV, and those who do not wish to leave the paved road may park along the way and complete the 2.7-mile trek on foot.
