Russian River

13-mile-long Russian River is a popular fishing area in the heart of bear country where you can fish for sockeye salmon, in mid-June and mid-July, rainbow trout and Dolly Varden Char in July and silver salmon in August. Access to the river is by hiking or a privately operated ferry.
