Constructed between 1858 and 1881, the Trans Allegheny Lunatic Asylum was better known as the Weston State Hospital, and is the largest hand-cut stone masonry building in the United States, and may be the second largest in the world. Visitors can tour the building that housed 2,400 people in the 1950s.
