Since opening in 1914, the Utica Zoo has grown to over 40-acres and has 200 animals on display to entertain kids young and old. Featuring habitats for animals native to Africa, Asia, Canada, and South America, this charming zoo, is waiting to be explored.
Our family loves the Utica Zoo. We get a season pass every year. While the amount of animals in no way rivals many other zoos, there are enough to see to make it worthwhile (over and over again for us). My kids love playing on the playground in the kids area. There is also a petting zoo. Among animals worth seeing: seals, otter, eagle, goats, and peacock. There's lots more but those are my favorite.
