Walnut Street Bridge

Chattanooga's Walnut Street Bridge was erected in 1890. This truss-style bridge originally provided automotive and pedestrian passage across the Tennessee River. Its asphalt surface was replaced by wood planks in the late 20th century, and the bridge is now closed to vehicles.
